But the sports field is not only a place for training and competition - it is a community center that brings together people of different ages and interests. A well-designed field encourages a healthy lifestyle, develops sportsmanship and strengthens the sense of belonging. Investing in sports infrastructure is investing in the future of our community, and designing sports fields is increasingly becoming an art of combining functionality, aesthetics and social responsibility.

The athletic track consists of four 333 m circular athletic track and six 100 m running tracks. In the western semi-circle, there are competition areas - pole vault, long jump runway and pit for landing and high jump, while the shot put pit is positioned to the east of the semi-circle. The final treatment is a 13mm thick waterproof synthetic lining in accordance with IAAF standards, as well as the necessary athletic equipment itself.

The basketball court is built on a synthetic covering measuring 28 m x 15 m with a protective belt of 2 m in all directions, the court is located on the east side inside the circular athletic track. The final treatment is a 16mm thick waterproof synthetic lining in accordance with FIBA standards, as well as the necessary equipment.

The handball court is built on a synthetic surface measuring 20 m x 40 m with a protective belt of 2 m in the lateral directions and 3 m behind the goals, the court is located on the east side inside the circular athletic track west of the basketball court. The final treatment is a waterproof acrylic substrate with a thickness of 1 mm in accordance with IHF standards, as well as the necessary equipment.

The mini-soccer field is built on a synthetic surface made of artificial grass measuring 20 m x 40 m with a protective zone of 2 m in the lateral directions and 3 m behind the goals, the field is located on the west side inside the circular athletic track west of the handball court. The final treatment is a 3.8 mm thick artificial grass waterproof surface filled with quartz sand and SBR granules, all in accordance with FIFA standards, as well as the necessary equipment.

The volleyball court is built on a synthetic surface measuring 18 m x 9 m with a protective belt of 4 m in the lateral directions and 6 m behind the service lines, the court is located on the west side inside the circular athletics track west of the indoor soccer field. The final treatment is a 16mm thick waterproof synthetic lining in accordance with FIVB standards, as well as the necessary equipment.

The field for the border guard is built on a synthetic surface measuring 24 m x 15 m with a protective belt of 3.5 m in the lateral directions and 3 m behind the main lines, the field is located on the southeast side inside the circular athletics track. The final treatment is a 16mm thick water-permeable synthetic covering in accordance with the standards for playing border guards in Croatia.

The outdoor exercise area is built on a synthetic surface made of artificial grass measuring 24 m x 15 m with quartz sand filling, on which the exercise equipment is placed.

Behind the sports fields for handball, indoor soccer and volleyball, a protective net of 5.0 m height made of PP mesh on aluminum poles is placed on the south and north sides.

A pedestrian path is being built between the sports fields with a width of 2.0 m to 3.5 m as a pedestrian communication from the school itself to the sports fields with a finishing of concrete pavers.

On the eastern, northern and western sides, on the edge of the building plot in question, a fence panel with a height of 1.8 m is constructed to ensure a controlled entrance to the school premises and the playgrounds themselves.

VOLLEYBALL COURTS SLAVONSKI BROD

The subject of the main project is the construction of sports fields - volleyball fields in Splavarska street in Slavonski Brod. The construction of a total of 5 volleyball courts is planned, of which 3 will be on sand and 2 will be on a synthetic (artificial) surface. The project also envisages the construction of pedestrian areas around the field, which will be connected to the constructed areas next to the future fields. Pedestrian paths have a minimum width of 2m.

The project envisages the possibility of carrying out works in four independent functional units:
• The first independent functional unit consists of the two southernmost beach volleyball courts with associated pedestrian areas, drainage and fence.
• The second unit consists of the two northernmost volleyball courts with an artificial surface and associated pedestrian areas, drainage and fences.
• The third unit consists of the central, main beach volleyball court with pedestrian areas, drainage and a fence.
• The fourth unit consists of the construction of the foundation for the lighting poles with the associated pipes as preliminary work for the installation of lighting around the playground in the future.

The total area covered by all units is about 4000m2.

The intervention in the space consists of:
- volleyball courts - construction. The construction of a total of five volleyball courts is planned, of which one main court for beach volleyball (minimum thickness 40 cm), dimensions 19×27.6 m, two smaller (recreational courts) for beach volleyball with total dimensions of 28×22 m, and two smaller ones (recreational) volleyball court on an artificial (synthetic) surface with total dimensions of 28×30m.
- pedestrian path - construction. The pedestrian path was built as a combination of constructed pedestrian areas in the environment with newly designed volleyball courts, and to enable pedestrian communication around the courts themselves. The minimum width of the track is 2m, bordered on both sides with concrete curbs 8/20cm, that is, on one side with a curb 8/20, and on the other with a field fence if it is located next to the volleyball courts. The track is made with an asphalt pavement curtain. A pavement structure is planned, which consists of a load-bearing layer of crushed stone, d=min.30cm, and a load-bearing and wearing layer of asphalt, AC11 surf, d=5cm.
- fence - construction. The construction of a fence around the volleyball courts with a height of 3.0 m with pedestrian access to the courts is planned. The fence is built on the parapet foundation that borders the volleyball courts.
- foundations for lighting poles - construction. The construction of the foundation and distribution of the pipes for the future lighting of the playground is planned.
- drainage - construction. The construction of the rainwater drainage system of the terrain - drainage, made of PVC pipe Ø110mm, was designed. Each unit (1st - 3rd) has its own drainage system that is connected to the constructed sewage system in the area of coverage.

REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF OSIJEK HIGH SCHOOL PLAYGROUND

At the request of the Investor (City of Osijek), it is necessary to repair and rehabilitate the high school playground in Istarska street 1/D in Osijek, code no. 5989/7 k.o. Osijek.

As part of the high school playground, there is an athletics track, a long jump runway with a landing pad, five soccer fields, a basketball court, two volleyball courts, a skate park and an exercise area with equipment.
The entire athletics track is being removed.
The complete long jump runway with landing pad is being removed.
The four soccer fields inside the athletics track were constructed with an asphalt finish, where cracks and indentations appeared in places where rainwater accumulates after rainfall. The drainage channel that surrounds the soccer fields with the existing drains is in a rather bad condition (it needs to be replaced together with the drain grates).
Four football fields need to be renovated.
Repair of transverse asphalt crack and narrowing to a surface for a standard basketball court with buffer zones is required.
There are two volleyball courts on the north side of the athletic track.
The eastern volleyball court is finished with "slag" (ground brick), while the western one is made for beach volleyball. The existing playgrounds do not meet the dimensions.
The eastern playground is removed in all layers, and the western one is expanded for the required length. The width is maintained due to the existing trees on the north side.
The skate park and training ground remain as they are and are not planned for rehabilitation and repair, and are not included in this project.

REPAIR WORKS:

The athletics racetrack is circular for six racetracks with a length of 333 m on the site of the removed existing racetrack. On the south side, a racetrack with 8 race tracks for 100 m races is planned, which is integrated into a 333 m circular track. The final layer is a synthetic waterproof coating of the type Herculan SR National or equivalent with a total thickness of 13-14 mm, which is carried out on site at the racetrack and fighting grounds. Rainwater drainage is provided by percolation into the new drainage system from the inside of the racetrack.
The arenas are as follows: shot put, long jump and triple jump (long jump board only), pole vault and high jump.
The soccer field on the east side is made completely new from the bed itself, buffer layer min 25, asphalt layer BNS 16 5cm thick and AB 08 3cm thick with the finishing of a layer of acrylic paint for asphalt type like DecoColor MP Classic 920-27 or equivalent in total thickness 1-2 mm. On a layer of old asphalt min. For 14 days, the basic primer for asphalt surfaces Decoplast is installed, then a layer of acrylic paint Decocolor Q is applied with the addition of quartz sand (without impurities) according to the supplier's instructions, and the final layer of acrylic paint Decocolor.
Three soccer fields and one handball field inside the athletics track need to be repaired in the area of cracks and depressions (retention of rainwater), by cutting the asphalt, removing existing damage and making new asphalt "patches", by spraying emulsion on the entire surface and making a leveling layer of asphalt AB 08 in thickness approx. 3-4 cm. Previously, remove the marginal drainage channel and drain grates together with the concrete cornice, and place new ones in the same place at a new height with regard to leveling.
The basketball court is located on the east side, north of the space intended for stands, which is bordered by a new curb made of polymer concrete with a final "cap" made of rubber (white color), which reduces the possibility of injury when falling. The existing asphalt is retained, on which the crack needs to be repaired.
The volleyball court on the east side is built on the west side, north of the racetrack and bounded by a new curb made of polymer concrete with a final "cap" made of rubber (white color), which reduces the possibility of injury in the event of a fall.
On the south-eastern side, it is necessary to construct a new bocce ball court of standard dimensions on an asphalt surface of 28.5 x 4 m, on which min 2-4 mm of eruptive stone with a granulation of 0 to 4 mm is placed, all according to the standards and propositions of the Croatian Bocce Association.

FOOTBALL FIELD ON ARTIFICIAL GRASS, GRAFIČAR, OSIJEK

The subject of the Main Project is the reconstruction of a sports field for sports and recreational purposes (large football field - auxiliary field) located within the Grafičar sports center, Poljski put 3 in Osijek.

The current situation on the subject building plot is that there are two large football pitches on natural grass (main and auxiliary) and a small football pitch on artificial grass, for the needs of sports education (football school), in accordance with the Investor's request, it is necessary to reconstruct the pitch in all layers on the southern side of the building plot in place of the large football pitch (auxiliary) on natural grass, and with a final layer of artificial grass, and to align it with the dimensions and protective zones in accordance with the rules of the Croatian Football Federation and UEFA and to install protective nets behind the goals (east and west). The existing protective net behind the goals is being removed.
To the north are the main large football pitch and a small football pitch that are not the subject of this project, as well as other buildings.
It is necessary to reconstruct a sports pitch - a large football pitch - auxiliary on artificial grass with protective nets that will be located within the Grafičar Sports Centre in the southern part of cadastral plot no. 3292/1 cadastral plot no. Osijek in Osijek, Poljski put 3.
The reconstruction is being carried out in all layers, with storm drainage, and a final layer of artificial grass. On the east and west sides behind the goals of the large football field, a 7.76 m high protective net is being installed, the existing one is being removed. On the south side, next to the field itself, in the entire zone up to the border of the construction plot in question, artificial grass will be installed to provide space for two houses for reserve players and one for the delegate.
The large football field is being built on artificial grass measuring 68 m x 105 m with a 5 m protective belt (artificial grass) behind the goals and on the side of the field.
The playground will be bordered by an 8 cm wide concrete curb, along which a green area will be arranged (north, east and west) to blend in with the surrounding terrain, and on the south side, artificial grass will be laid along the entire length of the playground to the very border of the building plot to install houses for reserve players (2 pcs) and delegates (1 pc).
Houses for reserve players (2 pcs) and delegates (1 pc) will be placed next to the large football field on the south side.
A layer of humus 20 cm thick must be removed from the entire surface of the large football field.
Excavate, concretize and install steel supports for the protective net on the east and west sides of the large football field behind the goals, 7.76 m high.
Then excavate to the level of the subgrade, rolling and arranging the subgrade itself.
Excavate drainage trenches in the north-south direction as primary drainage at every 6.0 m distance at a slope of 0.3% towards the north and the main drainage drain.
After arranging the trenches and bedding, it is necessary to place geotextile type 300 g/m2 on the entire surface and trenches, after installing drainage  100 in the trenches, in the fall towards the north side, install stone fraction 8/63.5 mm up to the height of the bedding.
After installing the drainage, fill the layers with a rammer in layers of 20 cm in 32/64 mm granulation, mm by static rolling, compaction and leveling, 10 cm in 16/32 mm granulation by static rolling, compaction and leveling, and then a 5 cm layer of 0/16 mm granulation by static rolling, compaction and leveling.
After compaction and installation, perform leveling with a laser-guided grader. The maximum deviation from the exact designed height is 6 mm, measured with an aluminum batten with a minimum length of 4 m. Rolling the substrate is allowed only with a roller, without vibration. During rolling, it is necessary to moisten the crushed material to obtain the required compaction of the substrate.
After leveling with a laser-guided grader, a final layer of artificial grass 5.5 cm high is laid with a fill of silicate sand and SBR granules, all according to the instructions of the supplier of the final layer (synthetic grass).
A layer of hydroclassified, washed and dried silicate sand with a granulation of 0.5-1.0 mm, 32 kg/m2 must then be installed in the installed artificial grass (the exact weight is defined by the artificial grass manufacturer in the technical sheet).
After the silica sand is installed, SBR rubber granulate is installed in a granulation of 0.5-2.0 mm, all in accordance with the instructions of the artificial grass supplier of 8 kg/m2 (the exact weight is defined by the artificial grass manufacturer in the technical sheet).
Two fixed aluminum football goals 732 x 244 cm, made of aluminum oval profiles measuring 120 x 100 mm, with a 5.5 mm net, are installed on the large football field, all in accordance with HNS and UEFA standards and the EN 748 norm.
The large football field is marked with white lines made of artificial grass in accordance with HNS and UEFA rules, and corner flags.
The protective net behind the goals covers the side of the field behind the goal 60 m on the east side and 60 m on the west side. The net is made of rope.
The stormwater drainage of the reconstructed playground is solved by percolating through the artificial grass into the lower layers, and by drainage pipes and drain pipes through inspection chambers into retention (15 min retention) and by discharge  160 into the final recipient, a mixed sewerage system on a public area (cadastral plot no. 4335 cadastral plot Osijek) north of the Grafičar Sports Center.
