Roundabouts are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to traditional intersections, offering benefits in safety, traffic flow and environmental impact. As experienced designers of outdoor spaces, we shape roundabouts that meet functional requirements while enhancing the beauty and character of their surroundings.
Our design process begins with a site analysis — traffic volume, pedestrian and cyclist needs, and the local landscape — after which we develop a concept combining safe geometry, clear signage and aesthetic elements such as sculptures, landscaping and lighting for a distinctive centerpiece.
We pay special attention to the safety of vulnerable road users and to reducing emissions through smoother, less stop-and-go traffic.
A connecting road was built, and the intersection of Bana J. Jelačića, Trg Slavije and Šamac streets was reconstructed into a roundabout, together with the reconstruction of pedestrian and cycle paths and public lighting within the project area.
