Next to the Palunko Sports Kindergarten in Splavarska Street in Slavonski Brod (plot no. 4851/2, Slavonski Brod cadastral zone), east of the kindergarten's outdoor premises at the Vijuš Sports Hall, a children's playground with fixed play equipment was built on the northwestern part of the building plot. Eleven fixed play structures were installed: a train with carriages, a spring rocker for one child, a hide-and-seek house, a combined house with a slide and educational equipment, a tent-shaped house, a drawing board, a training goal, two houses with a tunnel and slide, a rectangular climbing frame, and crawl-through and obstacle-course elements, all built to HRN EN 1176. Street furniture installed includes nine wooden benches with backrests and three wooden-slat waste bins. A 5.00 × 3.88 m sandpit edged with sand barriers was built, along with a 5.4 × 4.26 m throwing area finished with crushed brick, both intended for physical education (long jump and shot put) and edged with rubber-capped curbs for safety. The surrounding terrain was graded with fill, seeded with grass, and planted with trees per the design, and a 2.00 m wide asphalt pedestrian path was built, edged with flush curbs to drain water to the surrounding green area, connecting the playground to the kindergarten premises. The entire outdoor area was fenced with a 1.5 m high panel fence with two pedestrian gates for children's safety. Stormwater drainage is handled by infiltration into the lower soil layers and the surrounding green area, while a drainage system beneath the sandpit and throwing area is connected to the City of Slavonski Brod's existing stormwater system.
